who we are
Together we climb every summit in communication. We know the routes, spot weather changes early on, assess opportunities and risks, and poses the stamina required to support our clients effectively in all aspects of communication. We’re there when they need us. That’s why we started 365 Sherpas.
Mount Everest was once seen as insurmountable. This changed in May 1953 when Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached its summit, the pinnacle of the world’s highest peak. “It is not the mountain we conquer – we conquer ourselves.” With this insight, Hillary captured the essence of mountaineering.
365 Sherpas was founded in 2013 with a fundamental concept: forging a partnership of specialists with a clear compass in politics and communication. Our team of over 50 experienced and specialised consultants develops strategies and concepts to address the most pressing questions of our time. Together with our clients, we turn these ideas into reality. We advise companies, associations, non-governmental organisations, foundations, the German government, and the European Commission.
For us, strong reputation and successful communication are two sides of the same coin: we call it stance. Our strategies prioritise responsibility and sustainable impact. In our consulting work, we support and respect the codes of conduct that apply to interest representatives under the Lobby Register Act, the German Society for Policy Advice (de’ge’pol), as well as the ethics regulations of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and the German Public Relations Association (DPRG). Of course, we are registered in the Lobbying Register for the Representation of Special Interests vis-à vis the German Bundestag and the Federal Government.
We Sherpas are avid supporters of democracy. We promote diversity and inclusion, respect human rights, and use natural resources responsibly.
This commitment drives us to engage in voluntary work, supporting civil society organisations both financially and in terms of time. We’re one of the first certified consultancies in Germany working in a resource-conserving way based on the European Eco Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) of the European Commission. We describe what this means in our environmental statement.
As part of the Hirschen Group, we have committed ourselves to the Diversity Charter and implement specific measures to create an appreciative and prejudice-free working environment. We respect and treat all people equally – regardless of gender, skin color, sexual orientation and identity, ethnic and social background, disability, religion/belief and age.
customised specialised teams
Every successful expedition needs reliable and experienced sherpas. Our consulting teams have everything it takes for effective communication: an understanding of economic processes and industry expertise, a feel for political and social debates and their evolution, knowledge of stakeholder landscapes and resilient networks, operational reliability, and creative inspiration. This is how our diversity becomes your strength.
our values
Effective guidance and sustainable decision-making thrive on diverse perspectives and continual adaptability. We achieve this through our Advisory Council, where senior advisors offer their individual expertise and diverse experiences to support our teams as needed.
We see ourselves as explorers who anticipate political, business and societal developments for which there are no ready-made solutions and use creativity and passion to develop new ones.
We and our stakeholders are long-term partners. We always strive to provide them with honest and, whenever possible, inspiring support. We are distinguished by our strength of attitude, our attentive listening skills and our respectful communications with clients, employees, partner agencies, Hirschen Group agencies and our service providers.
We take every client brief seriously. That involves analysing whether the brief is presented in a practical way, and whether the description of the problem really does cover all the relevant aspects of the client’s situation. Naturally, we also analyse our own actions and solutions.
We take a creative approach to problem solving. We have both the attitude and the processes to think outside the box. Specific challenges need targeted solutions that can be both imperceptible and unconventional if they serve the purpose.
We believe in very good solutions through outstanding quality. Our experience shows: Together with our customers, we create the extraordinary. That makes us optimists by profession.
We all share a passion for communication and for political, economic and social contexts. This passion is what motivates us to develop best-in-class solutions.
Subject-matter expertise and social competence are the foundations of our work. To be a sherpa you must possess extraordinary talents and abilities.
We are energised by our diversity. It offers us the opportunity to continue learning and growing. We ensure that all the sherpas in our team can be confident their dignity will be respected by all people and at all times.
We have a vast network at both agency and consultant level. It is both a source of inspiration and helps us pave the way to successful outcomes.
