DR. DANIEL WIXFORTH

Daniel Wixforth is Managing Partner at 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice’s Berlin office with responsibility for the coordination of client projects at the Berlin and Brussels offices of 365 Sherpas.

Since 2014 he has been advising 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice clients across all sectors on policy and strategic positioning, multichannel political communication and responsible lobbying in Germany.

Daniel completed his doctoral programme in the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at the Free University of Berlin with a summa cum laude distinction, and published a thesis entitled “Das Netzwerk bin ich! Zur Konstruktion eines adäquaten Modells digitaler europäischer Öffentlichkeit“ [I am the network! Constructing an adequate model for a digital European public]. In the same year Daniel was one of the co-authors of a book entitled “Wahlkampf digital. Was Wählerinnen und Wähler suchen und was die Parteien anbieten.“ (Digital election campaigns. What voters want versus what parties offer).” In the summer semester of 2018 he lectured on public affairs at Hanover University and in the winter semester 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 on the same topic at the University of Leipzig.

Daniel’s career began in 2010 at STEG Kommunikation und Beratung, an agency founded by former deputy spokesperson of the German government, Dr Thomas Steg. He catered to clients in the energy, telecommunications, mobility and healthcare sectors, and he also developed political strategies and wrote speeches for political and business decision makers.

Daniel read media studies, recent and modern history, musicology, and cultural and media management in Berlin and went on to complete a doctoral programme involving international research collaborations which took him to New York and Istanbul. As a student, Daniel worked as a freelance author for the TAGESSPIEGEL newspaper’s cultural desk for several years. He speaks German, English and basic French.
