René Ruschmeier is Senior Advisor China & Asian Markets of 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice. 

The economist has been living and working as a freelance strategy advisor in China since 2017, currently in Yunnan, Xishuangbanna. His work focuses on public sector strategy, geoeconomics and governmental affairs. For the Asian and European markets, he observes and analyses geoeconomic developments and, in particular, future technologies in the context of global economic relations.  

Before joining 365 Sherpas, René Ruschmeier was Head of Public Sector Services and Executive Director at Kienbaum Consultants International GmbH. He has more than 20 years of experience in strategy and management consulting in the public sector. In this role, he has worked as a strategy consultant for a large number of federal and state ministries, often at the level of ministers and state secretaries. 

René Ruschmeier has taken part in numerous podcasts on topics related to state organisation and economic development, is a keynote speaker and author of numerous studies on behalf of the majority of German federal ministries and numerous state ministries.
