TORBEN HENNIGS
Torben Hennigs has been a Director in the Berlin office of 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice since April 2023.
Torben Hennigs supports clients in questions of strategic positioning both in the federal political context and in geopolitical strategic planning. Due to his many years of experience in parliamentary work, campaign planning and international project management, he has in-depth knowledge of parliamentary and political processes as well as in the field of campaign communication.
In the German Bundestag, Torben Hennigs managed the parliamentary offices of Agnieszka Brugger, deputy parliamentary party leader of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, and Katharina Dröge, the current co-parliamentary party leader. He gained campaign experience, among other things, in the 2009 and 2013 Bundestag election campaigns as a consultant in the federal office for the nationwide planning of the election campaign events of the top candidates of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen as well as in the 2009 European Parliament election campaign.
With a background of many years of professional and academic experience abroad in the US, Torben Hennigs has excellent knowledge of political processes in the transatlantic and geopolitical context, coupled with an established network in Washington, DC and a nuanced sense of the unique challenges of international project management.
Torben Hennigs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Governance and Public Policy – Staatswissenschaften from the University of Passau and a Master in Professional Studies of Political Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He is a former adjunct professor at the University of Passau. Torben Hennigs speaks German, English at native level and has advanced basic knowledge of French. He is a former study scholar of the Heinrich Böll Foundation and a former graduate scholar of the German Academic Exchange Service.
