Raphael Weissbach is a senior associate at the 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice Berlin office.

He advises clients on strategic positioning and targeted stakeholder communications. His specialist fields are digitalisation, consumer goods and energy policy.

Before joining 365 Sherpas – Corporate Affairs & Policy Advice in March 2018 Raphael was a trainee at the VKU Association of Local Utilities in Berlin. Raphael wrote speeches and briefs for the managing director on basic and European digitalisation and energy policy. He also took a course in public affairs at the Quadriga University in Berlin parallel to his traineeship.

Raphael started out his career as policy officer at the FDP’s parliamentary group office in Wiesbaden City Hall. He organised committee meetings and city councillor initiatives, and was jointly responsible for PR. Prior to that, as a student, he gained work experience at the Federal Ministry for Education and Research and at the A&B One PR agency in Berlin.

He gained his master’s degree in politics and public administration at Constance University and then went on to complete a master of public administration (MPA) at York University in the UK. In both master’s degree programmes he studied policy analysis, strategy development and German energy policy. Raphael also gained a bachelor’s degree in law and political science from the University of Erfurt. He speaks German and English.
