Raphael Weissbach, born in Lemgo in 1988, studied for his bachelor’s degree in public policy, focusing on law and political science, at the University of Erfurt.

He completed his master’s degree in political science and administration at the University of Konstanz and then went to York University in the United Kingdom to study for a master’s degree in public administration (MPA). During his master’s degree programmes he addressed methods of policy analysis, strategy development and German energy policy. He gained practical experience during his studies at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and Berlin PR agency A&B One.

Raphael started out his career as political adviser at a parliamentary party office in Wiesbaden’s town hall, where he prepared committee meetings as well as political initiatives for the city councillors and was co-responsible for public relations.

Raphael then joined the Verband kommunaler Unternehmen [Association of Local Distribution Companies] in Berlin as a trainee. He wrote speeches and briefs for the CEO’s appointments in the field of policy and Europe. Raphael particularly focused on the trends of digitalisation and the challenges associated with the switch-over to alternative energy sources. He also continued studying at Quadriga University in Berlin.

Raphael has been an associate at 365 Sherpas since March 2018.
