Mizgin Aslan joined the 365 Sherpas expedition team in mid-August 2023 as a Junior Associate.

Before joining, she worked as a student trainee in the Political Advisory department of the Executive Management of Ernst & Young on federal, European and geopolitical issues. Mizgin Aslan gained further practical experience in an office of a member of the German Bundestag and through voluntary work in NGOs such as the Society for Threatened Peoples and the international lobby and campaign organisation ONE.

Mizgin Aslan studied law and political science at the Georg August University in Göttingen and completed two Master’s degrees in European Studies – Global Policy and Governance Challenges and in European Law at Maastricht University in the summer of 2023.

Besides her mother tongues German, Kurdish and Turkish, Mizgin speaks English, Spanish and has basic knowledge of French.
