Cornelius Winter was born in Berlin in 1974. While still pursuing his university studies in law and political science, he served as a political assistant for Dagmar Roth-Behrendt MEP and then for German MP Wolfgang Behrendt. He later worked for the politics department of DeutschlandRadio Berlin.

In 2000 Cornelius entered the field of political consulting (public affairs), initially with PLATO Kommunikation (Scholz&Friends Group) and from 2001 with the market leader in communications consulting, Ketchum Pleon (then known as Kohtes Klewes). Advancing to managing partner in 2006 he directed the Berlin and Brussels offices. As Europe Director he was also responsible for the European public affairs activities of Ketchum Pleon Europe. In 2012 Cornelius joined HERING SCHUPPENER Consulting Corporate Affairs & Public Strategies in Berlin as its managing director.

Cornelius particularly focuses on strategic consulting, the political dimensions of corporate strategies and activities, as well as positioning and performance concepts for executives in the private and public sectors. In recent years he has advised executives and CEOs of German and global companies, as well as top decision-makers in German state and federal government ministries.

Cornelius founded 365 Sherpas in 2013 and is today the agency’s principal partner.
