Associate Director of AI Enablement & Data

Benjamin Birkner drives the integration of AI and data-based structures at 365 Sherpas and advises clients on innovative data-based communication and analysis approaches and the responsible use of generative models. He has more than ten years of experience at the intersection of political communication, strategy, and technology. Previously, he headed digital communications at Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, where he managed initial AI applications and was responsible for strategies and campaigns for European, federal, and state elections. As co-founder of Plankton.social and in leadership roles at agencies and start-ups, he developed teams, data-driven products, scalable workflows, and effective communication solutions.

Benjamin Birkner studied philosophy, politics, and media and communication sciences at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and St. Mary’s University Halifax (Canada).
